Michael Nielsen turned motion picture advertising on its ear when he and co-composer Kaveh
Cohen released Full Tilt: The Next Evolution in Trailer Sound. Since Full Tilt's 2005 debut,
Michael's compositions have regularly appeared on the big screen as the sonic propulsion behind
some of Hollywood's biggest motion picture trailers. Michael has composed trailer scores for a
wildly diverse array of films: from the epic orchestral and choral action of Wolverine and
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, to chilling soundscapes for Terminator Salvation, cuttingedge
rock-edged scores in Wanted, otherworldly themes for Race to Witch Mountain, heightened
drama in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and playing up the comedy for Kung Fu Panda. Full
Tilt music now can be found in almost every major film advertising campaign.

Michael began his musical career after graduating from UCLA in 1997, working on several network
TV shows, and films, also performing lead guitar duties as Death, in the cult favorite film, Six String
Samurai.

In 2000, Michael formed The Triangle production team, specializing in songs for feature films and
television. Michael produced James Brown, The Pussycat Dolls, Kenny Loggins, Barry Manilow,
The Bahamen, and music for Lenny Kravitz. Michael received a RIAA gold record for the 2002
release of Disneymania, which remained on the Top 20 over a year after it’s release. He also
contributed his production skills to Disneymania 2, which remained in the Top 5 in Billboard’s
Children’s Chart for over 23 consecutive weeks, entering at #1 the week it was released (Jan 2004).
Several other soundtrack contributions include American Pie III, Scooby Doo, The Crocodile Hunter
and Blue Crush.

As well as composing for Fill Tilt, Michael co-wrote and produced all of the original songs for
Warner Premier’s musical, Another Cinderella Story, featuring Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly
Place). The movie ranked as January 2009’s No. 1 cable movie, and Michael’s song Tell Me
Something I Don’t Know has reached #3 on Radio Disney, and debut at #7 on Billboard when
released on Kidz Bop 15. Michael has also written songs for Sabrina Bryan’s (Cheetah Girls /
Dancing with the Stars) BYou, and BYou 2.

Michael and co-composer Kaveh Cohen recently finished co-scoring Marvel animated series,
Wolverine & The X-Men, which garnered Nicktoons their highest network ratings ever. Michael and
Kaveh have also recently completed scoring the highly anticipated Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell V -
Conviction, an Xbox 360 exclusive game, produced by the award winning game developer, Ubisoft
Montreal.
