Desplat recibe 7 nominaciones

Se acaban de hacer públicas las candidaturas a los galardones que anualmente concede la International Film Music Critics Association, a los mejores trabajos y autores del año tanto en el marco de la música cinematográfica, como en otros ámbitos audiovisuales. En esta ocasión, destacan las 8 nominaciones de Alexander Desplat, lo que confirma que el fracés continúa siendo uno de los compositores preferidos por la crítica en las últimas ediciones de estos premios. John Powell opta a 5 galardones por su trabajo en “How To Train Your Wagon”, mientras que Hans Zimmer y el grupo Daft Punk comparten 3 nominaciones por las partituras de “Inception” y “Tron Legacy”, respectivamente.

La buena noticia para es la inclusión de dos músicos españoles en la categoría de mejor compositor revelación. Oscar Araujo parece haber despertado gran interés entre la crítica internacional, gracias a su ambiciosa partitura para el videojuego “Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow”, mientras que Arnau Bataller ha hecho lo propio con su contundente ambientación musical en el filme La Herencia Valdemar .

Uno de las apartados más reñidos será el correspondiente al galardón a la mejor edición del 2010, dada la indudable calidad de varios de los álbumes lanzados al mercado, tales como el ”Spartacus” de Alex North, Black Sunday de John Williams, o las recuperaciones íntegras de los scores para “Conan The Barbarian” o “The Alamo”.
