Alexandre desplat lidera la contienda con 5 scores

La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias de Hollywood ha hecho pública la lista de 114 scores que pueden ser nominados para la ceremonia del próximo año. 2014 ha sido un año de enormes altos y bajos en los que, por desgracia, y salvo muy honrosas excepciones, no ha habido scores especialmente destacables desde el punto de vista histórico. Aún así, entre las excepciones mencionadas se pueden citar magníficas partituras como Maleficent de James Newton Howard, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies de Howard Shore, The Boxtrolls de Dario Marianelli, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes de Michael Giacchino o Exodus: Gods and Kings de Alberto Iglesias, Federico Jusid & Harry Gregson-Williams (estos dos últimos no acreditados en la lista de manera incomprensible). Sorprende, finalmente, que el trabajo de Antonio Sánchez para Birdman no aparezca entre los candidatos.
