It's All About Love had a limited release in some European countries during 2003, and was released in the UK in 2004 and in the US in 2005. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Claire Danes and Douglas Henshall. The synopsis of this extraordinary film is as follows:
En route from his home in Poland to a teaching job in Canada, John (Joaquin Phoenix) arrives in New York to obtain his wife, Elena's (Claire Danes), signature on their divorce documents. Married as childhood sweethearts, their lives have taken different directions: John's to an academic career; Elena's as an international skating mega-star. As their paths irrevocably diverge, so the earth mirrors their personal chaos by tilting on its axis causing an atmospheric catastrophe, throwing weather patterns out of kilter and playing havoc with populations from pole to pole.
In New York Elena is warned that her life is in danger but her attempts at seeking help from John and her brother Michael (Douglas Henshall) are thwarted by her manager and his henchman.
The blistering summer heat of the city is halted by falling snow, as John and Elena finally break free. But their freedom is, after all, a short-lived illusion.
