PROFESSIONE FIGLIO (aka BUGIE BIANCHE – VENETIAN LIES), drama movie 1980. Director Stefano Rolla. Other casting Max von Sydow, Virna Lisi, Ronnie Valente, Bruno Miani, Annamaria Bramante, Monica Pagliacci, Carlo Russo. Renato, a boy of seventeen, is looking for a married couple, suitable to his liking, willing to adopt him. Identified the right persons, he cleverly fits in their homes, manages to endear himself, and once he becomes tired of the family, he disappears, simulating a fatal accident. The game is repeated several times. At last, the boy fits in a home of a pair, of Venice, an antiquarian and a musician, to whom he made to believe that he was born from an old love affair of the husband. But all of the previous abandoned 'parents' arrive in Venice, determined to expose him. Renato is forced to disappear again. Active since the sixties as an assistant director and then as director of three films, including PROFESSIONE FIGLIO, Stefano Rolla tragically died at sixty-six years old, during the bomb attack at the Italian military base on Nov. 12, 2003, in Nasiriyah, Iraq, where he was shooting a new film with his assistant Aureliano Amadei. Ennio Morricone, to characterize the young protagonist with charmer smile and cunning intentions, composed a cheerful theme for flute and orchestra, which is alternated with pastoral atmosphere of rare beauty and classic passages for strings, as a background to the city of Venice. For the realization of this CD of almost 33 minutes, GDM has used the stereo master tapes of the original recording session from which were discovered six previously unreleased tracks, all approved by Maestro Ennio Morricone.
