Si en las dos primeras bandas sonoras nos encontrábamos con unas creaciones sólidas pero quizás algo desdibujadas en relación a la trilogía del Anillo, con 'The Battle of the Five Armies' regresa a su vigoroso estilo sinfónico que siempre dibuja a la perfección la oposición entre el bien y el mal.
