Dheeme, dheeme has been sung brilliantly by Kavita Krishnamurthy with only a dafli for accompaniment and a flute in the interludes. Main albeli is the only song which will remind one of Rahmans earlier songs. But even this song is very different as it takes you back to the songs of the Sixties because of its music arrangements. Kavita is again brilliant in this song in which she is accompanied by Sukhwinder Singh. Mehndi hai rachnewali is a typical marriage song by Alka Yagnik. So gaye hain is one of the best lullabies I have ever heard and coming as it does in the voice of Lata Mangeshkar, it makes it all the more special for me. There is another part of the same song on the flip side of the album. Lata sings Pyaara sa gaon, which again is a soft song and takes you back to your childhood. Richa Sharma takes on a totally different role by singing a thumri, Chhodo meri baiyyan. Perhaps her first in films after many a raunchy song. This song takes you back to the songs of Pakeezah and Umrao Jaan. Hai na is another nice song by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.
