Geoffrey Burgon has composed numerous works that span many forms of music, from opera and orchestra to film, chamber and choral works. When Geoffrey Burgon is not working on concert pieces, his remaining time is spent composing for film and television, and his output for the medium is remarkable. As well as creating the score for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (from which the 'Nunc Dimittis' reached the pop charts) and Brideshead Revisited, his list of credits include two series of Dr Who, Bleak House, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Children of the North as well as Monty Python's The Life of Brian, Robin Hood, and of course Martin Chuzzlewit. This 18 track disc contains original music from the BBC's 1994 adaptation of Charles Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit.
